Gerrit specialises in the fields of negotiating property transactions, corporate structuring and restructuring, commercial law, insolvency, mediation, corporate and commercial litigation and agricultural projects.
He developed the Partners in Agri Land Solutions (PALS) framework and his involvement in land reform is recognised on a national level. He acts as a strategic and legal advisor to the SA PALS Centre and was the leader of PALS’ delegations in presentations to parliament and other government agencies. He advises agribusinesses and organisations from all regions of South Africa regarding sustainable land reform solutions in line with the PALS’ principles.
